ANSWERS THAT CAN BE PROVEN

Query organisational data in plain English, verify the answers and govern AI use across the organisation. The VERSD Suite from partner 2pi Software brings sovereign, Australian-built AI into SURROUND Australia’s solution set.

THE VERSD SUITE

Three connected tools

VERSD operates the AI. VERSDBench and VERSDView are general-purpose tools that test and govern VERSD and any other AI tools or models in use.

VERSD: data intelligence

A single plain-English interface across email, chat, CRM, finance and files, with the source of every answer cited. Available now in AWS Marketplace.

VERSDBench: continuous evaluation

Measures answer quality against known-correct results and re-scores every change, so that quality is evidenced rather than assumed. Works with VERSD or any other AI system. Coming to AWS Marketplace at the end of October 2026.

VERSDView: agent governance

Shows which AI tools and agents are in use, what they cost and which are misbehaving, whichever AI products are in use, so that leaders can account for their organisation’s AI. Coming to AWS Marketplace in early December 2026.

BETTER TOGETHER WITH SURROUND AUSTRALIA

AI that rests on governed knowledge

Grounded in the client’s knowledge graph

VERSD paired with SURROUND Australia’s ontologies, so that answers rest on governed, well-defined facts. Ontology & Knowledge Graphs →

Agents that can be tested

VERSDBench combined with OGC Building Blocks to check AI output against published, machine-readable rules. OGC Building Blocks →

Provenance end to end

Every answer cites its source, and SURROUND Australia’s provenance work traces how that source came to be.

WHY THE VERSD SUITE

Built for organisations that must show their working

Sovereign-safe by design

Hosted in the AWS Sydney region, with Australian data residency and customer-controlled encryption keys.

Never used to train third-party models

The organisation’s documents, emails and records remain its own.

Permission-aware

Access follows the organisation’s existing structure, so separate teams and clients remain separate.

Model choice, not lock-in

The appropriate model for each team, with spending limits per group.

No prompt engineering required

Natural conversation in, a sourced answer out.

Built for scrutiny

Designed for auditability and explainability.

DEEP DIVE: THE SUITE

How the VERSD Suite fits together

Capability. The VERSD Suite, developed by 2pi Software and offered by SURROUND Australia, comprises three connected products:

  • VERSD provides a single natural-language interface across an organisation’s authorised information.
  • VERSDBench tests and assures the quality of AI output, from VERSD or any other AI product or model.
  • VERSDView monitors and governs AI and agent usage across the organisation, whichever AI products are in use.

In summary, VERSD operates the AI, VERSDBench assures it and VERSDView governs it. VERSDBench and VERSDView are general-purpose tools that work with any AI system, so organisations can adopt them independently or alongside VERSD.

How VERSD works. VERSD combines conversational AI with retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search over connected systems, and cites the source of every answer.

  • Models: runs on AWS Bedrock in the Sydney region, and can also be linked to self-hosted models (tested with vLLM), with a choice of models per team and spending limits per group.
  • Connectors: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365/OneDrive, Xero, GitLab, GitHub, Basecamp, Mattermost, SQL databases and file systems, among others. An MCP gateway supports off-the-shelf and custom connectors.
  • Tasks: converts commonly repeated requests into executable routines, for lower cost and deterministic behaviour.
  • Access: organisation- and user-scoped access controls preserve existing permissions.

Assurance and governance.

  • VERSDBench runs at-scale evaluations of answer quality, relevance and consistency, including negative testing. It compares model versions and infrastructure configurations, and re-scores every change so that quality is measured rather than assumed.
  • VERSDView shows which sanctioned agents are running and what each costs. It flags long-running or runaway agents, and provides visibility of AI used outside sanctioned channels.

Availability. VERSD is available now through AWS Marketplace and deploys into the customer’s own AWS account. VERSDBench is scheduled for AWS Marketplace at the end of October 2026, and VERSDView in early December 2026. The suite is Australian-developed and runs in production within 2pi Software’s own operations.

Client benefits.

  • Staff spend less time searching and switching between applications.
  • Sensitive information remains in Australia under the organisation’s control, and is never used to train third-party models.
  • Answer quality is evidenced with scorecards.
  • Leaders can see and govern the organisation’s AI footprint.

Paired with SURROUND Australia’s knowledge graphs and OGC Building Blocks, answers can rest on governed facts and agent output can be checked against published rules.

“Which projects used the 3D cadastral data model last year?”

“What changed in the vocabulary between the last two releases?”

“Who owns the data-sharing agreement with the state agency?”

A PARTNERSHIP SINCE 2017

Working side by side for nearly a decade

SURROUND Australia and 2pi Software have worked together since 2017. 2pi Software has engineered and operated the secure cloud platforms behind SURROUND Australia’s knowledge graph work and its route-planning prototype. VERSD is developed in Australia, by Australian citizens.
